Very important is a road loss of third ranked HLA Alicante (11-7) against tenth ranked Real Canoe (3-14) on Sunday night. Visiting HLA Alicante was defeated by Real Canoe in a tough game in Madrid 75-79. Real Canoe looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Haitian-Canadian forward Kevin Bercy (201-94, college: St.Francis X.) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard Alberto Martin (184-95) supported him with 7 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and 7 steals. Four Real Canoe players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds by American Noah Allen (201-95, college: Hawaii) did not help to save the game for HLA Alicante. Danish-Ivorian center Jonas Zohore (208-91) added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Real Canoe maintains tenth position with 3-14 record. HLA Alicante lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Palma.
