Regular Season Round 26: Boras - BC Lulea 92-87

An interesting game for Boras Basket (17-10) which hosted in Boras one of their biggest challengers BC Lulea (16-11). Third ranked Boras Basket managed to get a 5-point victory 92-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Lulea. It looked good early as BC Lulea took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Boras Basket took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 5 points. Canadian point guard Marek Klassen (186-92, college: PLNU) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international William Gutenius (206-92) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. American forward Tristin Walley (201-96, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Axel Nordstrom (194-91) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Boras Basket and five BC Lulea players scored in double figures. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains third position with 17-10 record having six points less than leader Norrkoping. BC Lulea at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Boras Basket will play against league's leader Norrkoping Dolphins on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BC Lulea will play against KFUM Jamtland and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
