Regular Season Round 27: Tychy - Walbrzych 75-88

An interesting game for Gornik (22-5) which played road game in Tychy against 4th placed Tychy (17-10). Second ranked Gornik managed to get a 13-point victory 88-75. Gornik made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Maciej Bojanowski (200-96) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Center Damian Cechniak (210-93) accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Filip Stryjewski (193-99) came up with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and center Przemyslaw Wrona (205-93) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Tychy in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gornik have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 22-5 record behind leader Czarni. Loser Tychy dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Gornik will meet Miasto Szkla (#6) in the next round. Tychy will play against Pruszkow and hope to secure a win.
