We should mention about the upset which took place in Montpellier, where 4th placed Gazelles (9-7) lost at home to ninth ranked Tarbes (7-10) 45-55 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was Swedish power forward Regan Magarity (190-96, college: Virginia Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. The former international center Ana Tadic (190-98, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (188-96, college: Louisville) produced 14 points and the other American import forward Napheesa Collier (191-96, college: UConn) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tarbes. They maintain ninth place with 7-10 record. Loser Gazelles keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Tarbes will face higher ranked Roche (#7) in La Roche in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gazelles will play on the road against Lyon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
