A very close game took place in Rishon Le-Zion between M.Rishon and Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Tenth ranked M.Rishon (6-9) got a very close home victory over 11th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-12). M.Rishon managed to escape with a 2-point win 86-84 in the game for the tenth place. M.Rishon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: GMU) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) accounted for 17 points and 8 assists for the winning side. The former international guard Bar Timor (190-92, agency: Avi Zilberman) came up with 19 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American Gabe York (190-93, college: Arizona) added 14 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the defeat. Four M.Rishon and five Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. M.Rishon maintains tenth place with 6-9 record. Hapoel Tel-Aviv lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. M.Rishon will meet higher ranked Bnei Hasharon (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Maccabi Haifa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
