There was no surprise when 8th ranked Torta del Casar (3-9) lost on the road to sixth ranked Penarroya (6-7) 91-87 on Saturday. Forward Luis Rodriguez (192-1) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points. Swingman Jose Varo (193-93) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Swingman Eduardo Recio (188-1) replied with 26 points and Eugenio Egea (-3) added 14 points in the effort for Torta del Casar. Five Torta del Casar players scored in double figures. Torta del Casar's coach Armando Gomez let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Penarroya maintains sixth position in Group D-B with 6-7 record. Torta del Casar lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost.
