Regular Season Round 20: Vic - JAC Sants 73-78

There was an upset when second-ranked Vic (6-4) lost at home to seventh ranked JAC Sants (2-7) 78-73 on Saturday. Vic was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Mexican forward Mauricio Cheda (198-90, college: UTEP) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Josep Sole (195-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Gambian forward Omar Toure (199-94) replied with 6 points and 15 rebounds and guard Jordi Iglesias (180-97) added 14 points, 5 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Vic. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. JAC Sants maintains seventh position in Group C3 with 2-7 record. Vic at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. JAC Sants will face league's leader Llucmajor at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Vic will play against Roser and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
