Regular Season Round 27: Czarni - Tychy 97-48

An interesting game for Czarni (23-4) which hosted in Slupsk 4th placed Tychy (17-10). First ranked Czarni had an easy win 97-48. Czarni dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tychy's 28. They outrebounded Tychy 39-23 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Czarni players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tychy's players. It was a great evening for center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Piotr Smigielski (190-89) helped adding 14 points. Four Czarni players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Filip Stryjewski (193-99) with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Przemyslaw Wrona (205-93) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Czarni maintains first place with 23-4 record. Tychy at the other side dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Czarni will play against bottom-ranked Klodzko (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Tychy will play against Pruszkow (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
