Regular Season Round 25: Zadar - Alkar 102-66

Premijer Liga top team - Zadar (20-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Alkar (6-18) 102-66. Zadar dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Alkar's 32. They outrebounded Alkar 39-20 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zadar players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. International guard Antonio Jordano (191-99, agency: XL Basketball Agency) stepped up and scored 16 points for the winners and forward Duje Brala (196-3) chipped in 16 points. Zadar's coach Veljko Mrsic felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Hasan Varence (198, college: Ohio Dominican, agency: Duran International) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and center Hrvoje Vucic (210-91, college: Walsh) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Five Zadar and four Alkar players scored in double figures. Zadar have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-4 record. Alkar lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Osijek. Zadar will play against KK Vrijednosnice Osijek (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alkar will play against Dubrava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
