Regular Season Round 20: Igualada - Tarragona ADT 101-55

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Igualada (5-3) outplayed at home bottom-ranked Tarragona ADT (0-9) 101-55 on Saturday. Igualada forced 25 Tarragona ADT turnovers and outrebounded them 33-21 including 20 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Tarragona ADT's players. Center Eduard Tejero (196-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Oriol Mateu (190-98) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Igualada players scored in double figures. South Sudanese center Deng Mabior (218-97) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Roger Vaque (190-0) added 9 points in the effort for Tarragona ADT. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Igualada maintains third position in Group C1 with 5-3 record having ten points less than leader Andujar. Newly promoted Tarragona ADT still closes the standings with nine games lost. Igualada will face Alpicat (#5) on the road in the next round.
