Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Chorale de Roanne (3-9) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (6-6) 89-76 on Saturday. Gravelines-Dunkerque had a 31-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Slovenian guard Aleksej Nikolic (191-95) who scored 21 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American point guard Briante Weber (188-92, college: VCU) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Sylvain Francisco (180-97) who recorded 22 points and 4 assists and Steeve Ho You Fat (202-88) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Orleans. Chorale de Roanne lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with nine games lost. Gravelines-Dunkerque will meet at home higher ranked SIG Strasbourg (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chorale de Roanne will play against JSF Nanterre (#10) and hope to secure a win.
