Regular Season Round 36: Nova Ves - Inter Bratislava 84-68

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Nova Ves as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Nova Ves defeated 4th ranked Inter Bratislava at home 84-68. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Mario Ihring (192-98, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists and Serbian forward Marko Stevanovic (203-94) who added 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Nova Ves players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international center Michal Fusek (223-95, agency: Octagon Europe) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 20 rebounds and American forward Duke Shelton (208-95, college: Tampa) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Inter Bratislava dropped to the fifth place with 13 games lost. Inter Bratislava will play next round against strong Levice trying to get back on the winning streak. Nova Ves will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Handlova on the road.
