Second Stage Round 7: Mursa - Medvescak 57-60

Important game to mention about took place in Osijek. Second ranked Medvescak (5-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Mursa (3-3) 60-57 on Saturday evening. Medvescak forced 21 Mursa turnovers. It was a great evening for international guard Ana Petrak (163-98) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Lucija Skoric (178-99) helped adding 11 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Ksenija Sarlija (-93) responded with 6 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Sena Matesic-Pavetic scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Mursa's coach Goran Gunjevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Medvescak have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 5-2 record behind leader Pozega. Newly promoted Mursa dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Medvescak will play against league's leader Ragusa in Dubrovnik in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mursa will play at home against Sibenik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
