Regular Season Round 22: H.Galilee - M.Ashdod 92-74

The most important game in the last round took place in Kazrin between second ranked Maccabi Ashdod (11-5) and fourth ranked H.Galilee (10-6) on Saturday night. Maccabi Ashdod was defeated by H.Galilee on the road 92-74. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Maccabi Ashdod. H.Galilee dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Maccabi Ashdod's 22. They outrebounded Maccabi Ashdod 38-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. American point guard Kendall Anthony (173-93, college: Richmond) scored 17 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Alon Sapir (201-94) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five H.Galilee players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jamaican-American swingman Durand Scott (195-90, college: Miami, FL) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Dolev Drapic (191-92) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. H.Galilee maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. Maccabi Ashdod at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. H.Galilee are looking forward to face league's leader Ironi Ashkelon at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Maccabi Ashdod will play against H.Acre and is hoping to win this game.
