Regular Season Round 25: Sonik Puntamika - Skrljevo 86-84

The most exciting game of round 25 in the Premijer Liga took place in Zadar. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked KK Skrljevo (12-12) to fifth ranked Borik Puntamika (14-10) 86-84 in the game for the fifth place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of KK Skrljevo. Borik Puntamika made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 KK Skrljevo turnovers. Strangely KK Skrljevo outrebounded Borik Puntamika 36-19 including a 14-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Borik Puntamika especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Jakov Vladovic (187-83) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 assists. Guard Lovre Runjic (193-0) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Grenadian center Arkim Robertson (206-94, college: CS Fullerton) answered with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Antonio Boban (205-93) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for KK Skrljevo. Five Borik Puntamika and four KK Skrljevo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Borik Puntamika have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 14-10 record. KK Skrljevo at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Borik Puntamika are looking forward to face bottom-ranked H.Analitica (#12) in Zagreb in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KK Skrljevo will play at home against Gorica (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
