No shocking result in a game when third ranked Haukar (10-4) beat 5th ranked Skallagrimur (6-8) in Hafnarfjordur 73-69. Skallagrimur was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Haukar dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Skallagrimur's 20. American swingman Alyesha Lovett (183-93, college: Cincinnati) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The former international forward Sara Hinriksdottir (185-96, college: Canisius) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Haukar players scored in double figures. American guard Keira Robinson (176-94, college: VCU) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international power forward Sigrun Amundadottir (181-88) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Haukar have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Valur. Skallagrimur at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Haukar's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Snaefell (#8) in Stykkisholmur where they are favorite. Skallagrimur will play at home against the league's leader Keflavik and hope to win that game.
