There was no surprise in Kazrin where 12th ranked Maccabi Raanana (4-9) was defeated by fourth ranked H.Galilee (11-6) 88-83 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. H.Galilee made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 65.2 percentage. It was a great evening for naturalized Romanian guard Omer Tal (190-92, agency: Avi Zilberman) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Bahamas Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 17 points and 14 rebounds. Four Maccabi Raanana players scored in double figures. H.Galilee maintains fourth place with 11-6 record. Maccabi Raanana lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. H.Galilee will meet Hasharon (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Raanana will play against the league's leader Ironi Ashkelon and hope to secure a win.
