The game in Helsinki supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Forssan Alku (18-8) played at the court of 7th ranked HBA-Marsky (7-18). Forssan Alku smashed HBA-Marsky 97-76 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Forssan Alku. HBA-Marsky managed to win fourth quarter 28-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forssan Alku dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to HBA-Marsky's 38. They outrebounded HBA-Marsky 44-30 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forssan Alku looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Mia Loyd (181-94, college: N.Dakota) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and her fellow American import guard Keke Calloway (170-97, college: Mercer) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side guard Ebba Pekonen (172-1) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Silja Viita (185-1) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Forssan Alku maintains fourth place with 18-8 record. HBA-Marsky lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 18 games lost. Forssan Alku will meet at home Torpan Pojat (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. HBA-Marsky will play against the league's leader Peli-Karhut in Kotka and hope to secure a win.
