Very expected game in Jyvaskyla where 9th ranked JyWe (11-13) was defeated by fourth ranked Kipina (14-10) 84-67 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-67. American guard Junior Robinson (165-96, college: Mt.St.Mary's) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 assists for the winners. South Sudanese power forward Makol Mawien (206-96, college: Kansas St., agency: BIG) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Center Jaakko Lammi (200-99) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Kosti Naukkarinen (186-83) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four JyWe players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Kipina maintains fourth position in 1st Division with 14-10 record. Loser JyWe dropped to the tenth place with 13 games lost. Kipina will face Karkkila (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JyWe will play against Raholan P. in Tampere and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
