Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Carbajosa (8-13) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Clavijo (13-9) 75-66 on Saturday. Guard Albert Lafuente (185-99) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-95, college: Jefferson) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Clavijo players scored in double figures. Clavijo's coach Jenaro Diaz used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Irish power forward Jordan Blount (203-97, college: UIC, agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American swingman Bakary Camara (201-98, college: Bridgeport) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Clavijo moved-up to fourth place in Silver. Newly promoted Carbajosa dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Clavijo will face Marbella (#6) at home in the next round. Carbajosa will play against Zornotza (#3) in Amorebieta-Echano and hope to win that game.
