An exciting game was played in Lugo. Leche Rio Breogan faced Granada. Host Leche Rio Breogan defeated guests from Granada 85-78. They outrebounded Granada 33-19 including 26 on the defensive glass. Danish center Kevin Larsen (207-93, college: GWU) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and power forward Ivan Cruz Uceda (208-91, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American-Liberian swingman Thomas Bropleh (196-91, college: Boise St., agency: Duran International) responded with 15 points and point guard Lluis Costa (187-93) scored 11 points and 6 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leche Rio Breogan will meet Palma in the next round. Granada will play against Palencia and hope to secure a win.
