An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ferrol. Top-ranked Ferrol faced 3rd ranked RC Celta. Host Ferrol (25-0) smashed guests from Vigo (17-5) 78-52. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of RC Celta. Ferrol players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by RC Celta's players. It was a good game for guard Patricia Benet (174-88) who led her team to a victory with 15 points and 4 assists. American guard Brooke Salas (180-97, college: NM State) contributed with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Ferrol players scored in double figures. Serbian Maja Stamenkovic (187-91) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Adrienne Motley (175-95, college: Miami, FL) added 14 points in the effort for RC Celta. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ferrol have an impressive 25-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-0 record. RC Celta at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Ferrol will play against Rosalia (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. RC Celta will play against Coruna (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
