Team Pajulahti (12-12) survived in overtime against Kipina (14-10) by two points 89-87 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 18-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-11. Team Pajulahti outrebounded Kipina 53-42 including 41 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Forward Eemi Luukkonen (200-2) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Eetu Lahdetniemi (206-0) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Team Pajulahti players scored in double figures. Team Pajulahti's coach Pekka Setala used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Junior Robinson (165-96, college: Mt.St.Mary's) produced 39 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Sami Mantymaa (193-88) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Team Pajulahti moved-up to eighth place in 1st Division. Kipina at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Team Pajulahti will face higher ranked FoKoPo (#3) in Forssa in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kipina will play at home against Karkkila and hope to win that game.
