Regular Season Round 26: Bnei Hertzeliya - H.Jerusalem 80-88

Date: March 21, 2021
Very predictable result in Hod Hasharon where third ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (12-6) defeated 10th ranked Bnei Hasharon (7-12) 88-80 on Sunday. Hapoel Jerusalem looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was international power forward Idan Zalmanson (206-95, agency: Avi Zilberman) who scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Nigerian power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American power forward Terell Parks (205-91, college: W.Illinois, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Max Heidegger (191-97, college: UCSB) added 22 points respectively for the hosts. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Jerusalem maintains third position with 12-6 record having seven points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Newly promoted Bnei Hasharon keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem will meet at home Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Maccabi Haifa and hope to secure a win.
