Date: March 22, 2021
Dominos League top team - Keflavik (14-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Grindavik (8-8) 115-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grindavik. The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. Grindavik was better in second period 31-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Grindavik to just 7 points in first quarter. Keflavik players were unselfish on offense dishing 39 assists. American guard CJ Burks (190-95, college: Marshall) nailed 28 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) accounted for 23 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Dagur Jonsson (186-95, college: SFC) came up with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Belgian-Australian guard Marshall Nelson (188-94, college: WBU) added 11 points and 9 assists respectively for Grindavik in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. They share it with Valur and Thor AK. Keflavik will play against Stjarnan (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
