Date: March 22, 2021
Rather predictable result in Athens where third ranked Panathinaikos (14-2) beat 5th ranked Peristeri GS (9-9) 74-68 on Monday. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 26-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Ioannis Papapetrou (203-94, college: Texas) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Cuban guard Howard Sant-Roos (201-91, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Terran Petteway (198-92, college: Nebraska) who recorded 21 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Tre McLean (196-93, college: Chattanooga, agency: Slash Sports) added 15 points respectively. Peristeri GS lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Panathinaikos will face bottom-ranked Charilaos (#12) in Mesolongi in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Peristeri GS will play on the road against Larissa BC (#11) and hope to win that game.
