Regular Season Round 27: Split - Zabok 77-74

Seventh-ranked KK Zabok (11-15) made lots of trouble for second ranked Split (21-5) on Tuesday. Split managed to secure only three-point victory 77-74. However their fans expected much easier game. Split looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by KK Zabok helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international Luka Babic (201-91, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 7 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Mateo Kedzo (205-84) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Split's coach Ivica Skelin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Ethiopian-American guard Eyassu Worku (188-98, college: UC Irvine) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and Anton Maricevic (-97) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Split have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-5 record having just one point less than leader Zadar, which they share with Cibona. KK Zabok lost fourth consecutive game. KK Zabok at the other side keeps the seventh position with 15 games lost. Split is looking forward to face KK Skrljevo (#6) on the road in the next round. KK Zabok will play against the league's leader Zadar and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
