Very predictable result when second ranked Torino (16-5) outscored at home 12th ranked Cd'Orlando (10-15) 110-76 on Tuesday. Torino made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Torino outrebounded Cd'Orlando 41-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. Torino looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Cd'Orlando's players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Senegalese power forward Ousmane Diop (205-0) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Naturalized American guard Mirza Alibegovic (196-92) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Torino players scored in double figures. Torino's coach Demis Cavina felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Xavier Johnson (201-93, college: Colorado) produced 22 points (was perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line !!!) and the other American import guard Jordan Floyd (188-97, college: King) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Torino have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-5 record having five points less than leader Tortona. Loser Cd'Orlando keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Torino will face Casale (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
