Not a big story in a game in Malaga where 9th ranked Estepona (5-10) was edged by fourth ranked Novaschool (8-3) 71-69 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Novaschool forced 25 Estepona turnovers. Strangely Estepona outrebounded Novaschool 54-39 including 17 on the offensive glass. American forward Alex Jackson (200-84, college: UMSL) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Salvador Mendez (187-90) chipped in 12 points and 4 steals during the contest. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Serbian Stefan Radosavljevic (206-96, college: Lamar St.CC) responded with 8 points and 13 rebounds and guard Adrian Mayor (190-96) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Estepona's coach Pablo Bernabe let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Novaschool maintains fourth position in Group D-A with 8-3 record. Newly promoted Estepona keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
