Regular Season Round 28: Zabok - Zadar 61-93

Premijer Liga top team - Zadar (22-4) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked KK Zabok (11-16) 93-61. Zadar dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to KK Zabok's 24. They outrebounded KK Zabok 40-21 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zadar shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Dominik Mavra (195-94) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 7 assists. Jan Palokaj (194-0, agency: XL Basketball Agency) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Zadar players scored in double figures. Ethiopian-American guard Eyassu Worku (188-98, college: UC Irvine) replied with 16 points and 4 steals and Anton Maricevic (-97) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KK Zabok. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zadar have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-4 record. KK Zabok lost fifth consecutive game. KK Zabok at the other side keeps the eighth place with 16 games lost. Zadar are looking forward to face KK Skrljevo (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. KK Zabok will play against Dubrava in Zagreb and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
