Second Stage Round 8: SDUSHOR - Tsmoki II 42-93

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Tsmoki II (#1) and SDUSHOR (#5). SDUSHOR was smashed at home by 51 points 42-93 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Tsmoki II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SDUSHOR to just 5 points in third quarter and to 12 points in second half. Tsmoki II held SDUSHOR to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Tsmoki II forced 22 SDUSHOR turnovers and outrebounded them 53-26 including a 26-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Kanstantin Pasko (200-3) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Ivan Terehov (199-3) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Tsmoki II players scored in double figures. Point guard Mikita Dashkevich (175-1) produced 11 points and 4 assists and forward Nikita Kazimirchenko (196-4) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tsmoki II maintains first position in League with 12-14 record. SDUSHOR at the other side still closes the standings with 27 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
