There was an upset when higher ranked Entente Orleans 45 (7-7) was outleveled on the road by sixteenth ranked Cholet Basket (5-8) 91-70 on Saturday. Cholet Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 assists. Slovenian Gregor Hrovat (196-94) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. Cholet Basket's coach Erman Kunter felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Armenian-American center Luke Fischer (211-94, college: Marquette) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Congolese Giovan Oniangue (196-91) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Entente Orleans 45. Cholet Basket moved-up to fourteenth place. Loser Entente Orleans 45 keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Cholet Basket will face higher ranked Le Mans (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
