There was a minor upset in Leon where 5th ranked PBB (6-6) was defeated by seventh ranked Agustinos (7-8) 54-50 on Saturday. Agustinos held PBB to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Agustinos made 7 blocks. Forward Juan Del Rio (195-96) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Sergio Martinez (180-92) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Victor Alonso (196-94) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and center Daniel Garcia (207-94) scored 6 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Agustinos moved-up to fifth place in Group A-C. Loser PBB dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
