Regular Season Round 39: Iskra Svit - Nova Ves 95-103

Very significant was Nova Ves' (#1, 20-13) victory against 3rd placed Iskra Svit (17-15) 103-95. It was a great evening for Serbian forward Marko Stevanovic (203-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian Milan Nikolic (200-92) helped adding 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American forward DeSean Parsons (201-95, college: Portland St.) with 26 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Robert Baker (211, college: Harvard) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Four Nova Ves and five Iskra Svit players scored in double figures. Nova Ves have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-13 record. Iskra Svit at the other side keeps the third position with 15 games lost. Nova Ves are looking forward to face Lucenec (#4) at home in the next round. Iskra Svit will play against Prievidza and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
