There was no surprise when 14th ranked Sevilla (2-24) lost at home to tenth ranked Almeria (10-14) 60-45 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for Argentinian point guard Macarena Durso (162-91) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Alicia Gonzalez (187-86) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Virginia Lopez (-86) answered with 11 points and 6 rebounds and American center Danielle Hammond (193, college: VCU) added 12 points in the effort for Sevilla. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Almeria maintains tenth place in Group B with 10-14 record. Sevilla lost their tenth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 24 games lost.
