A1 top team - Panathinaikos (15-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Charilaos (4-15) in Athens 102-68. The game without a history. Panathinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Panathinaikos had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Eleftherios Bochoridis (196-96) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Georgios Papagiannis (220-97) contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American Toddrick Gotcher (192-93, college: Texas Tech, agency: Alti Sport) answered with 14 points and 5 assists and power forward Giannis Sachpatzidis (209-93) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Charilaos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-2 record. Charilaos lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Panathinaikos are looking forward to face Iraklis (#7) in Thessaloniki in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Charilaos will play at home against Larissa BC (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
