Regular Season Round 24: Cagliari CUS - Faenza 47-65

Leader Faenza delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 13th ranked Cagliari CUS (3-13) 65-47. Faenza players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for forward Lucia Morsiani (186-92) who led her team to a victory with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Rachele Porcu (170-97) contributed with 10 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Power forward Federica Madeddu (183-1) replied with 6 points and 10 rebounds and Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88) added 8 points in the effort for Cagliari CUS. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Faenza maintains first position in A2 with 17-2 record. Cagliari CUS at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. Faenza will play against La Spezia (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Cagliari CUS will play against Firenze (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
