Regular Season Round 25: M.Raanana - M.Hod Hasharon 108-110

Important game to mention about took place in Raanana. Eleventh ranked Hasharon (7-11) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Maccabi Raanana (5-11) 110-108 on Sunday evening. Hasharon dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Maccabi Raanana's 44. Hasharon forced 19 Maccabi Raanana turnovers. Maccabi Raanana was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Xavier Moon (188-95, college: Morehead St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville) accounted for 27 points and 14 rebounds. Hasharon's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard Antino Jackson (182-96, college: N.Mexico, agency: SLN) came up with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 12 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and American-Jamaican Quintrell Thomas (203-90, college: UNLV) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Maccabi Raanana in the defeat. Four Maccabi Raanana players scored in double figures. Hasharon moved-up to tenth place. Maccabi Raanana at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Hasharon will play against higher ranked I.Ramat Gan (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Maccabi Raanana will play again against Hasharon (#11) in Ramat Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
