We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked La Zubia (7-5) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Unicaja-Andalucia (8-7) 62-38 on Sunday. Unicaja-Andalucia held La Zubia to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded La Zubia 49-25 including a 39-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rafael Santos scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Ukrainian forward Daniil Shelist (202-3) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Rui Pereira (191-98) responded with 11 points and point guard Pablo Fernandez (188-93) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Unicaja-Andalucia moved-up to sixth place in Group D-A. Loser La Zubia dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
