There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Pyrinto Ak.B (7-19) beat 12th ranked HyPo (9-17) in Hyvinkaa 89-82. HyPo was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 29-21 charge of Pyrinto Ak.B, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Roni Ahvenjarvi (197-2) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Mikko Nurmi (202-98) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Pyry Hinkkanen (182-97) produced 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists and power forward Toni Honka (193-84) added 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pyrinto Ak.B maintains fourteenth place with 7-19 record.
