Top ranked Tortona (17-8) recorded its eighth loss on the court of eleventh ranked Casale on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Casale 81-78. The best player for the winners was point guard Fabio Valentini (185-99) who scored 24 points and 6 assists. American forward Sam Thompson (200-92, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 25 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Agustin Fabi (200-91) produced 20 points and guard Lorenzo Ambrosin (195-97, agency: SLN) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Tortona players scored in double figures. Casale maintains eleventh place with 10-13 record. Tortona lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with eight games lost.
