Regular Season Round 23: Kipina - Karkkila 113-90

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Kipina (15-10) rolled over 13th ranked Karkkila (8-18) in Aanekoski 113-90. The game without a history. Kipina led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Karkkila's 38. Kipina players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Junior Robinson (165-96, college: Mt.St.Mary's) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 13 assists and 4 steals. Lauri Jantti (202-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Kipina's coach Joni Hautsalo felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Eemeli Laaksonen (186-0) produced 37 points (!!!) and swingman Hannes Koskinen (198-98) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Five Kipina and four Karkkila players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Kipina maintains fourth place with 15-10 record. Karkkila at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost.
