Tenth-ranked Hasharon (7-12) gave a tough game to fourth ranked H.Galilee (13-6) in Kazrin on Sunday. H.Galilee managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Naturalized Romanian guard Omer Tal (190-92, agency: Avi Zilberman) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 assists for the winners and forward Alon Sapir (201-94) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American point guard JeQuan Lewis (186-94, college: VCU) responded with 30 points and 8 assists and center Amit Bier-Katz (208-88) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hasharon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. H.Galilee have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Hasharon at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. H.Galilee will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hasharon will play at home against Maccabi Raanana (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
