Regular Season Round 21: Ramat Gan - Holon 71-70

The most exciting game of round 19 in the D1 took place in Ramat Hen. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Holon (12-7) to fifth ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (10-9) 71-70 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Holon. The game was dominated by American players. Center Khaalia Hillsman (197-96, college: Texas A&M) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Alex Harden (180-93, college: Wichita St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Sequoia Holmes (183-86, college: UNLV) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: SDSU) added 17 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Holon at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Maccabi Ramat Gan are looking forward to face league's second-placed Ashdod in Ashdod in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Holon will play at home against the league's leader Ramla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
