Regular Season Round 27: H.Galil Gilboa - I.Nes-Ziona 92-89

Eighth-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (8-10) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Galil Gilboa (12-6) in Rosh Pina on Monday. Galil Gilboa managed to secure only three-point victory 92-89. However their fans expected much easier game. Galil Gilboa made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Galil Gilboa outrebounded Ironi Nes-Ziona 51-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-97, college: Florida, agency: Shark Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists. International point guard Yiftah Ziv (191-95, agency: Avi Zilberman) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Colombian guard Braian Angola-Rodas (198-94, college: FSU, agency: Wasserman) who recorded 24 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American center Jerome Meyinsse (208-88, college: Virginia) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Galil Gilboa moved-up to third place. Ironi Nes-Ziona lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Galil Gilboa are looking forward to face M.Rishon (#8) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play at home against Hapoel Jerusalem and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
