Very important is a home loss of third ranked Vera (9-9) against fifth ranked Cactus (9-8) on Tuesday night. Host Vera was defeated by Cactus in 82-69. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Vera. The game was mostly controlled by Cactus. Vera was better in second period 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. Point guard Samajae Haynes-Jones (183-96, college: Wichita St.) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward AJ Sumbry (203-94, college: Wagner, agency: Players Group) chipped in 10 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Aaron Parks (190-94, college: CSUN) responded with 21 points and guard Bryson Scott (188-94, college: PFW) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Vera's coach Davit Gasitashvili rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cactus have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Vera at the other side dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Cactus' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Titebi.
