The most exciting game of round 5 in the DBL took place in Leiden. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Zwolle (11-5) to first ranked Leiden (13-3) 96-93 in the game for the first place. The best player for the winners was international forward Emmanuel Nzekwesi (203-97, college: ORU) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). International guard Worthy de Jong (194-88) chipped in 16 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. American guard Jhonathan Dunn (193-98, college: S.Nazarene) produced 27 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Austrian center Jozo Rados (206-93) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Leiden maintains first place with 13-3 record. Defending champion Zwolle keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Leiden are looking forward to face Feyenoord (#6) in Rotterdam in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Zwolle will play on the road against Den Helder (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
