There was a small surprise in Pleyber-Christ where eleventh ranked Hainaut (5-15) beat 9th ranked Bretagne (7-13) 87-79 on Wednesday. Hainaut looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jasmine Bailey (176-90, college: UIC) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists. Croatian Iva Slonjsak (183-97, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Elodie Naigre (182-95) produced 16 points and Nigerian-American guard Ezinne Kalu (173-92, college: SSU) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Hainaut and four Bretagne players scored in double figures. Hainaut maintains eleventh position with 5-15 record. Bretagne lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. Hainaut will face higher ranked Flammes (#7) in Charleville in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
