The game in Den Helder was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Den Bosch (11-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Den Helder (9-7). Den Bosch did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 105-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Den Helder. Den Bosch dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Den Helder's 42. Den Bosch forced 19 Den Helder turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American-Iraqi guard Demario Mayfield (196-91, college: Angelo St.) nailed 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and American guard JaCori Payne (180-96, college: Columbus St.) accounted for 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Tom Koopman (204-95, college: Citadel) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and American forward Bolden Brace (200-97, college: Northeastern) added 18 points and 5 steals respectively for Den Helder in the defeat. Five Den Bosch and four Den Helder players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Den Bosch. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Den Helder at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Den Bosch's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Groningen on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Den Helder will play against Zwolle and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
