Tenth-ranked Villarrobledo (10-14) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Albacete (15-8) on Wednesday. Albacete managed to secure only two-point victory 64-62. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by center Bernat Vanaclocha (211-98, college: Polk State CC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Victor Aguilar (185-98) supported him with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Albacete players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by center Pamor Diene (208-98) did not help to save the game for Villarrobledo. Point guard Joaquin Portugues (185-95) added 12 points and 4 assists. Villarrobledo's coach Manuel Jimenez tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Albacete maintains fourth position in Silver with 15-8 record. Loser Villarrobledo keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Albacete will meet at home Pardinyes-L. (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Villarrobledo will play against Benicarlo in Castellon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
